One of our focus products is the pumpkin. Through intensive cooperation with suppliers all over the world, we ensure that our customers get to work with the best pumpkins. As with our sweet potatoes, we can import pumpkins based on customer-specific requirements. All pumpkin varieties are available at daily, weekly, monthly or annual prices.
Types of pumpkins at GlobalFair
The product is descended from the Cucurbita family, which consists of several species. GlobalFair offers three types of pumpkins.
Bottle pumpkin
The bottle squash is by far the most popular variety and is shaped like a bottle. Its popularity is due to the fact that the bottle squash makes a good meat substitute and is suitable for incorporating into a variety of dishes, such as pumpkin soup or stuffed bottle squash.
Muscat squash
With its ribbed appearance and aromatic flesh, the butternut squash gets its name from its flavor. In fact, the pumpkin tastes strongly of nutmeg. This kind is suitable for roasting in the oven.
Hokkaido pumpkin
Also called Japanese pumpkin, the Hokkaido pumpkin is firm in texture but in turn has a soft skin. This eliminates the need to peel the pumpkin before use. This saves one step in your production process.
